Michael Lo Sordo S/S 2011/12 Look Book

I was recently contacted by designer Michael Lo Sordo, who sent me his amazing new Spring/Summer 2011/12 look book. The collection, as seen during Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, is feminine and simplistic, inspired by the silhouettes of the seventies. The collection includes pleated, silk and sheer pieces, maxi skirts and dresses, mini structured dresses and skirts, cropped bodices and tailored jackets. Michael's use of colour is simple, yet striking...white and black contrasted with blue and pink pastels. However, the most intriguing element of the collection is the unique 'smoke like' print.
Michael Lo Sordo's S/S2011/12 collection "is taking 'timeless' into the future, making the Michael Lo Sordo girl as the new unforgettable essence of style."

Glee's Fashion's Night Out Promo

To complement their shot in Vogue's US September Issue, the cast of Glee have created a little Fashion's Night Out Promo clip.  The cast strut the runway as they recreate David Bowie's 'Fashion'.
I love Fashion's Night Out and can't wait for this year's event!

Just days ago, the one and only Rachel Zoe launched her first Fall collection at Saks on Fifth Avenue, New York.  Rachel wore a vibrant blue printed maxi dress, complemented with a little leather jacket.  I have my eye on quite a few pieces from this collection, which are thankfully available online!  In other Rachel Zoe news..The new season of The Rachel Zoe Project is set to air on September 6th on the Bravo Network and September 14th on Arena TV!
Completely obsessing over these Rachel Zoe shoes!!!

Vogue September Issues 2011

I love September...yes it's my birthday, but it's also when the biggest magazine issues are printed!  I'm talking about the 'September Issues', which have just hit the shelves.  The 'September Issue' or more commonly known as the 'Fall Issue', is the most important issue of the year, as it symbolises a new year in the fashion world.  Every year, fashionistas around the world wait in anticipation to see who will grace the cover of their favourite fashion magazine.  The cover of Vogue US is considered to be the most prestigious.  This year Anna Wintour chose Kate Moss as her cover girl.  I've just purchased a copy of this issue..the first of many I'll be purchasing this month!  However, the prize this year for the best Vogue cover goes to Vogue Australia..Kirstie Clements has done us proud!

Style Porfolio Sneak Peek

I thought I'd give you a sneak peek at one of the pieces I've been preparing for my style portfolio as part of Nokia and Elle's Search for the Next Style Correspondent.  The final round for the competition closes next week, so there is still time to vote for me, all you have to do is press the 'like' button to the right.  I will be posting the link to my portfolio hopefully by the end of the week.  In meantime I'm sharing a clip I created featuring my Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011 experience.  Not all the shows I attended have been featured, it depended on the quality of the capture.
