It's hard to believe that 2012 has come to an end...but what a year it has been!
This year, Australia welcomed Mercedes Benz as the official sponsor of Australian Fashion Week. International designer, Whitney Port launched her collection at Australian Week. Topshop Sydney finally launched, whilst One Direction sent Australian fans into a frenzy on their first visit.
Raf Simons made his debut as Creative Director of Christian Dior. Christopher Bailey made it rain at Burberry, whilst Louis Vuitton sent a train down the runway. Karl Lagerfeld created the most talked about accessory, the Hula Hoop Chanel beach bag. Mary Kate and Ashley won Womenswear Designer of the Year at the CFDA Awards.
We welcomed little baby Blue Ivy (Beyonce and Jay Z), Penelope Scotland (Kourtney and Scott), Vivian Lake (Gisele and Tom) and Luca Cruz (Hilary Duff and Mike) to the world. Weddings included, Justin Timberlake to Jessica Biel, Anne Hathaway to Adam Shulman, Margherita Missoni to Eugenio Amos, Blake Lively to Ryan Reynolds, Rachel Gilbert to Tom Williams, Kate Waterhouse to Luke Ricketson, and Michael Clarke to Kyly Boldy. Break ups included, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, Heidi Klum and Seal, Katy Perry and Russell Brand and, of course, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. This year's most talked about couples were Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as well Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Prince William and Katherine Middleton announced their pregnancy.
The London Olympics were perhaps the biggest event of the year. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies, certainly created a frenzy. The Spice Girls reunited for a performance whilst, the fashion tribute definitely left a mark. British models strutted the arena to David Bowie's Fashion, wearing London's most infamous designers.
Revenge left audiences at the edge of their seats, whilst Gossip Girl was revealed in the final ever episode, alongside the Chuck and Blair wedding! Taylor Swift painted the town shades of Red and we all learnt the meaning of Gangnam Style.
Yes it has been an eventful year, and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for 2013!
