The Lilac Mannequin : Couture Fashion Week Fall 2011

I recently attended LIFEwithBIRD's Spring/Summer 2012 presentation at the Sydney Opera House. After attending last year's event I couldn't wait to see what LIFEwithBIRD's Bridget and Nick had in store for us this year. The collection titled The Distance Between, commemorated LIFEwithBIRD's 10 year anniversary. The collection was inspired by LIFEwithBIRD's journey, and in turn embraced the concept of evolution exploring the 'journey, process and outcome.'

Australia's Next Top Model Winner, Montana opened the show in a simple, yet elegant printed silhouette. Models strutted the Utzon Room, draped in digital prints inspired by 'cliff faces, sea spray and even Australia's ghost gum tree.' LIFEwithBIRD's use of colour was unbelievable...pretty pastels including lilac and mint which I cannot wait to get my hands on! LIFEwithBIRD remained true to their aesthetic with simple, effortless, soft and delicate pieces.

Love her or loathe her, there is no denying that Olivia Palermo has impeccable style. Therefore, I just couldn't resist posting the flawless outfits Olivia wore whilst in attendance at Paris Fashion Week Couture Fall 2011 this past week. And speaking of Olivia Palermo, rumour has it, that she intends on starting a fashion blog! Whilst the rumour is yet to be confirmed, I can only imagine how amazing Olivia's fashion blog will be.
