Paris Fashion Week S/2012: Chanel and Giambattista Valli

As for Paris Fashion Week?.....Collections and shows were just exquisite!  Designers embraced the magical and mystical worlds.  Mr Lagerfeld created an under the sea fantasy world..seahorses, fish, shells, pearls, coral and even a harp!  Models walked the runway like creatures of the sea, draped in pearls, pretty ruffles, bubble textures and ribbons flowing like seaweed.  However, my personal favourite were the shell clutches!  This is definitely one of my favourite Chanel collections.  Meanwhile at Giambattista Valli, audiences were treated to an adventure around the world.  From python shoes, to fur vests, floral cut outs, metallic tapestry shift dresses, skirts and jackets, animal prints and snake 'arm parties'!  A feminine and pretty collection, mixed with pastels and metallics.  Both the Chanel and Giambattista Valli collections left me speechless!

Milan Fashion Week S/2012: Dolce and Gabbana

One thing that intrigued me most about the collections at Milan Fashion Week, were the references to the Italian culture.  From the historical architectural images at the Frankie Morello show, to the vegetable prints at Moschino Cheap and Chic and Dolce and Gabbana.  The Dolce and Gabban show was streamed live and of course I had to tune in again!  Models graced the runway to the sound of Mambo Italiano dressed in pieces inspired by the southern Italian countryside in the 1950s...vegetable printed dresses and full skirts, weaved bags and shoes, and pasta and vegetable shaped jewellery.  My favourite part of the show was the finale.  All the models walked out in crystal covered bodysuits, creating a show stopping finale!

London Fashion Week S/2012: Burberry Prorsum and Mulberry

London Fashion Week wouldn't be the same without two amazing collections by Burberry Prorsum and Mulberry.  Burberry Prorsum streamed their show live on their website, from London!  Therefore, not only was London watching, but the rest of the world..including myself!  Designer Christopher Bailey did not disappoint, drawing my attention right from the opening purple number.  And what complemented the collection..the front row fashion elite!  From Rachel Zoe to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, to Lily Donaldson, Poppy Delevigne and Sienna Miller.  Over at the Mulberry show, front row elite included Kate Moss, Kristen Stewart and Olivia Palermo.  Guests were greeted with ice cream and animal shaped balloons, creating a fun and cheerful atmosphere, setting the scene for Mulberry's quirky collection.
