The Balmain show has become one of the most highly anticipated shows at Paris Fashion Week. Expect a little social media hype, expect a flawless front row, and expect a model line up like a Victoria's Secret Fashion show. Of course, this season didn't disappoint... Olivier decided to turn his #BalmainArmy upside down and completely confuse everyone! Is that Gigi? No, wait, it's Kendall, and she's blonde. But then, Gigi's now brunette, as well as Lily and Rosie. It was wigs for all, as models changed their hair colour.
The collection was all about accentuating the female figure, with corset inspired pieces, cinching every look at the waist. Frills and ruffles, embellishments, tassels and fringing, lace, silks, velvets, suede, thigh high boots, and everything in between. I loved the use of pastels - icy greys, blues, pale pinks and beige, mixed with black and metallic.
